Bulletin Blurbs and Announcments
Many people will read the bulletin, while only a fraction of those will actually visit a “Missions” counter. Each announcement is an opportunity to make people more aware of the world and how they can be a part of what God is doing.

| August 16 | Bulletin: 1.3 billion people, or 1 in 5 is a follower of Islam and will spend the month of Ramadan praying and fasting to be a more committed and faithful follower of Mohammad. When it comes to spiritual warfare, there is no other month that is as spiritually significant.
We can fear Muslims, we can ignore Muslims or we can pray for God to bless Muslims with his Truth. Our God, in his sovereignty and wisdom knows how to truly bless Muslims.You are invited to join a Band of Believers around the globe that will pray God’s blessing on the Muslims of the world during Ramadan 2009. For those that would like a reminder to pray, Blessing Bands can be found in the lobby. |
| August 23 | Bulletin: Ramadan is a time of heightened spiritual awareness for Muslims. This is a perfect time to pray for God to pour out his blessings for those around the world, but it is also a great time to go to your Muslim friends and neighbors. Let them know that you will be praying for them through Ramadan and ask if they have any specific requests that you can be praying for. |
| August 30 | Bulletin: Scripture: Muslims are instructed to read sections of the Old Testament, Psalms and the New Testament. God’s Word is sharper than a two edged sword. Let’s pray that Muslims will read Scripture and that God will bless them with the Truth. |
| September 6 | Bulletin: Testimonies: When God draws a Muslim to himself, the testimony of that convert can be very powerful in the lives of other Muslims, yet declaring conversion to Christianity can result in death for many Muslims. Let’s pray that God would provide wisdom, discernment, protection and courage to new converts. |
| September 13 | Bulletin: Tuesday, Sept. 15th is Night of Power during Ramadan. Muslims are waiting to hear from the god of Mohammed on that night. We know that the one True God can come to them where ever they are. Pray that power of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will seen, felt and understood by many this Night of Power. |
Special Insert September 13 | Special Bulletin Insert: Visions and Dreams
The Night of Power is one of the most significant nights of the Islamic year. (It is the 27th night of Ramadan and varies from country to country, depending on when they start Ramadan.) This is supposedly the same night of Ramadan that Mohammed first received the revelation of the Qur’an. Muslims are often encouraged to stay awake all night and pray for blessings and forgiveness. This is the one moment of the year when Muslims are a bit less fatalistic and have increased confidence that God will hear and act on their behalf. This year the Night of Power will be September 15, Tuesday.
God has not forgotten nor forsaken Muslim people. Hundreds if not thousands have seen Jesus in dreams and visions and have come to follow Christ. In cultures where dreams are taken very seriously, pray that Jesus will reveal himself on the Night of Power and throughout the year.
